While I still had some daylight but overcast clouds ahead, I decided to do as much outdoors as possible - the weatherman is predicting rain for tomorrow, so that might be a good time to head for the museums.
This is Bergius Botanic Gardens, or Bergianska Tradgarden, and this is their official site:
http://www.bergianska.se/english/
The gardens are situated at a distance from the center of town, but not unreachable by subway. I went to the visitor's page on the website, and there were instructions on how to get there including the train number and what to do once you got to the station. Once I reached my destination, I used the iPad Map App to help orient myself and get me to the gardens.
The first picture you see is of the train that you take to get to your destination.
The garden is pretty big, but most of it is undeveloped meadow land, trees, ponds, and lakes. There are some formal garden areas including a Japanese garden and a working orchard, bee keeping, and green house(s), etc. You could spend the whole day there just walking around the perimeter - the bird songs were amazing, and the smell of fresh pine and forest was intoxicating. There were lots of geese and other water birds, so you had to be careful where you walked.
I hope you enjoy the pics.
